- A part of the research project under the topic of 'Spatial Development Strategies, Research and Model Development for Istanbul Action Plan (İstanbul'un Eylem Planlamasına Yönelik Mekansal Gelişme Stratejileri Araştırma ve Model Geliştirme)'. Research project, commissioned by Boğaziçi İnşaat Müşavirlik A.Ş., and carried out in collaboration with A. Türel, A. Eraydin, M. Güvenç, S. Kayasü, E. Babalik-Sutcliffe, S. Osmay, A. Ataöv, B. Gedikli.

September 1998 A four-year scholarship from the Higher Education Council to pursue a Ph.D. degree in Britain in the field of City Planning

September 1998 A bursary of £2000 from the Department of Town and Country Planning at University of Newcastle upon Tyne

April 1996 First prize award winner in a national competition for "Utopias for Istanbul", held as a part of the Symposium "Istanbul - 2020" organized by Istanbul Technical University (in partnership with Aslı Süha Dönertaş and Özgül Özkan).
